Adaptation and art / Adaptation: The Coexistence of “Trace” and “Transformation”/ Until Jan 26
Wishulada Panthanuvong, an environmental artist, once again challenges conventional thinking by transforming waste materials into valuable artworks. She returns with her most recent work in “Adaptation: The Coexistence Of ‘Trace’ And ‘Transformation'”, being held at Noble Play, a creative space in Phloenchit, until Jan 26, 2025. It depicts the evolution of an expanding metropolis. The environment bears witness to the transformations that have transpired due to human activity and urbanisation. Wishulada turns the resulting rubble into a beacon of hope, with the inscription “trace”, while the message of “transformation” from past mistakes seeks to guide people away from destructive habits and toward a more sustainable way of life. Noble Play opens daily from 8am-5pm with free admission.

New route / Vietjet Thailand / Until Oct 8
Expanding its foothold in Japan with one more city, Vietjet Thailand announces the launch of a new flight from Bangkok to Okinawa via Taiwan’s Taipei. From Nov 2, passengers of this new route depart from Suvarnabhumi International Airport in the morning, arrive in Taipei in the early afternoon and touch down at Naha International Airport at around 5pm. The return flight will depart Okinawa at 6pm, arrive in Taipei at 6.45pm and land in Bangkok at 10.45pm. The commute time is longer than flying direct, of course, but Vietjet Thailand offers an exclusive promotion, the ‘Grand Opening Sale – New Route, New Experience”, with fares starting from just zero baht (exclusive of taxes and fees). The Crystal Grill House at the Chao Phraya River has launched a steak experience in partnership with Rangers Valley from New South Wales, Australia. The St. Regis Bangkok has launched a collaboration with Peace Oriental Teahouse, blending classic oriental teas with contemporary gastronomy. The special themed afternoon tea experience showcases premium ingredients from Peace Oriental Teahouse, Thailand’s first contemporary teahouse, and is served at The St. Regis Bar until Nov 30. The St. Regis Bangkok x Peace Oriental Teahouse Afternoon Tea experience begins with the Scones with dried persimmon, served alongside jams, whipped cream and cream cheese. Highlight dishes that incorporate Peace Oriental Teahouse’s ingredients include Matcha pesto and cherry tomato tart and a Hojicha éclair topped with savoury Parma ham and a tangy twist of pickled melon and the Matcha and yuzu jelly crab salad. The menu also features Gorgonzola cheese vol au vent, with its rich filling of balsamic caramelised grapes, as well as the Spicy roasted shrimps cone with mango gel.
